Special issues can be proposed by a group of editors in coordination with any members of the editorial board or with the Associate Editor, who will serve as the "Guest Editor" for the special issue.
A written proposal for a special issue should be submitted to the Editor-in-Chief, outlining the motivation for, intended content, timetable and editors of the special issue. The proposal will be circulated to JAIKE Advisory Board and Associate Editors for comments and approval. A final decision will be made by the Editor-in-Chief and/ or Associate Editor-in-Chief. It is important that subject matters of the Special Issue must adhere to the aim and scope of the JAIKE Journal.
Once approved, the Guest-Editors of the special issue will be responsible for advertising the Call for Papers (CFP) and setting up a period of time during which papers can be submitted. This period will include the earliest time and deadline for submission of papers to be considered for the special issue. This information should be clearly indicated in the call for papers.
All the papers submitted to a special issue will be submitted via the normal web-based Manuscript Submission Process. Each paper should clearly identify the Title or Name of the special issue on the submission form. Papers submitted to a special issue will be assigned to the Guest- editor of the special issue, who will coordinate their handling with the other Guest Co-editors.
The review process will be conducted following the usual procedure (with reviewer selection and acceptance decisions made by the editors of the special issue and coordinated by the Guest editor). The standard JAIKE manuscript submission process, paper review policies, and form letters should be used. Acceptance or Rejection Decisions must abide by the JAIKE editorial standards, with at least two rounds of reviewing. Each accepted paper of the Special Issue will be published online first.
As soon as all the bulk of the papers designated for a special issue are approved for special issue, the Guest-editors will write an Editorial, and create an order (a table of content) in which accepted papers will be arranged for the special issue. The special issue will go to production and will be published as soon as they are ready.
