Instructions for Final Preparation

Here are some general guidelines for preparing a final article/manuscript:

Format:

Use a single font, such as Times New Roman, at 12 pt, with 1-inch margins on all sides. Use double spacing throughout and justify both margins.

Organization:

Use the AIIMRD format, which is Abstract-- write a brief overview and focus on your key messages; introduction — What is the background of your study?; methods — How did you conduct your study?; results — What did you find?; and discussion. Follow the main text with a conclusion, acknowledgments, references, tables, and figures.

Abstract:

Your abstract should concisely state the purpose of the research, major findings, and conclusions.

Keywords:

You will be asked to list a minimum of 5-10 keywords listed after the abstract. Keywords should be as specific as possible to the research topic. Keywords helps to find and query search engine results, affecting the number of people, who could see your work.

Content:

Include the study question, rationale, materials, methods, results, and discussion and finally collusion or concluding Remarks. The discussion should be concise and explain the importance of the results. Finally, your main text needs to be followed by the Conclusion, Acknowledgements, References, Tables, and Figures.

Figures and tables:

Place figures, tables, and photos after the references. Figures should be at least 1200 dpi, and photos should be at the highest resolution possible. Use italics for Figures and Table Captions, movies, and other works.

Equations:

Use Math Type, Equation Editor (Microsoft Word), or LaTex for display equations. Number the equations consecutively and define units in the text.

Authors:

Author1, FN. LN., & Author2, FN. LN. Department Affiliation, Institution E-mail Address. The first author should be that person who contributed most to the work.

Title:

Your manuscript’s title should be concise, descriptive, unambiguous, accurate, and reflect the precise contents of the manuscript. A descriptive title that includes the topic of the manuscript makes an article more findable in the major indexing services.

Acknowledgments

If you are including an Acknowledgements section, this will be published at the end of your article. The Acknowledgments section should include all contributors who do not meet the criteria for authorship. It is best practice to obtain consent from non-author contributors, who you are acknowledging in your manuscript.

Nomenclature:

Use established names and ensure they are correctly formatted. If naming new objects, follow the IAU Recommendations for Nomenclature.

References:

References refer to sources of materials that you have used in your article. They would be cited in your reference list or bibliography when using the 'Cite Them Right' Harvard style. A typical reference contains the following information:

Author, A. A., Author, B. B., & Author, C. C. (Year, Month Day). Title of article. Title of Magazine, Volume (Issue, if available), pages–pages.

Final submission:

The files you upload, after paper is tentatively accepted, are considered final. So, no major changes will be allowed after submission. A finished manuscript submission is usually polished and refined, with all the necessary components in place, such as a coherent structure, consistent style, proper grammar and punctuation, and a satisfying conclusion. Copyediting and proofreading generally focus on overall consistency and typos.
